MSc in Clinical Pharmacy International Practice and Policy at School of Pharmacy University of London United Kingdom
This 12 month, full time (35 hours per week), taught postgraduate degree course is offered by the School of Pharmacy’s Department of Practice and Policy, together with several local hospitals. The course is designed for overseas pharmacists intending to return to their home countries upon conclusion of the course. Completion leads to the award of the University of London’s Master of Science degree. It does not lead to registration with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
The course is centered on the health priorities of the World Health Organization (WHO), and includes both taught courses within the School (e.g. clinical therapeutics, research methods, management, marketing, and international perspectives in health), and clinical/research experiences at local hospitals. The programme requires a substantial commitment to self directed learning.
The MSc course began in 1996, and has drawn international students from countries all around the world, including Algeria, Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Jamaica Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Malawi, Malaysia, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Palestine, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain Switzerland, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Yemen and former Yugoslavia.
