Pharmaceutical Welfare Society has been established by the Department of Pharmacy since January 11, 2005.
Objectives of the society are as under:
Welfare of pharmacy students.
Pharmacy education.
Establishment of blood bank.
Establishment of University pharmacy
Provision of student services
Welfare of needy patients
Emergency help to community (related to health)
Coordination with social welfare agencies.
Income of the society is generated by the membership fee and donations. Since PWS-Pakistan is established, it has developed a book bank for the needy student of Department of pharmacy. PWS has provided financial support in fee and books to a number of needy students. Society has also provided blood to the patients in emergency conditions in DHQ Hospital Sargodha. PWS-Pakistan is providing following services at the Department of Pharmacy:

Books
Composing
The society is aiming at establishing Pharmacy shop, café and blood bank at Department of pharmacy, University of Sargodha. PWS requests the students, parents and philanthropists to donate for the welfare of needy students and patients
The majority of graduates are registered as pharmacists and are employed in community pharmacy or hospital pharmacy. Recent pharmacy career developments include pharmacists employed within primary care groups and acting as pharmaceutical advisors to health authorities. Many pharmacists are also involved in the development of new drugs as a result of research conducted by the pharmaceutical industry. Others are engaged in teaching administration and scientific positions in higher education.

The course will not be offered if the enrolment is less than 10. Note: All the information regarding admissions will be displayed on the notice board of the department and the candidates will not be informed individually.
International Students
Ten additional seats are reserved for international students. The international students are required to route their applications through proper channels.
Admission Rules Entrance Requirement
Qualification: HSSC/A Level (Pre-medical) with at least 60% Marks or equivalent grade. This condition applies to all categories including reserved seats.
Entry Test: Merit for candidates seeking admission in Pharm D Program will be evaluated as per following Intermediate Marks 70% Entry Test (Physics + Chemistry + Biology + English) 30%
Age: Not more than 20 years for OM, SS and reserved seats; and not more than 30 years for army personnel on the closing date. Note: No relaxation in age is permissible in any case.
Terms and Conditions
Admission shall be made on merit, based on the marks obtained in HSSC or equivalent examination and obtained in entry test. Admissions secured on the basis of wrong information/ concealment of information and the admission made in contravention of these regulations are liable to be cancelled. Every selected candidate shall have to submit a medical Certificate issued by the Civil Hospital at the time of payments of dues. The dues once deposited shall not be refunded except the refundable security deposit. At the time of admission the selected candidate shall present the following documents in original to the concerned authority for examination.

b) Hafiz-e-Quran Certificate (If applicable)
c) Medical Certificate List of selected candidates will be displayed on the notice boards of the department, and candidates will not be informed individually.
MPhil Pharmaceutics:
In order to meet the local and global needs, Modern Technology regarding Development of New Drug Delivery Systems, is of Paramount importance. Materials, Methods, Equipment and Professionally Competent Personal, the four wheels on which the carriage of modern Therapy runs, plays an integral role in designing of efficacious products. The syllabi and courses for M Phil Pharmaceutics have been designed by relevant experts. M Phil Parmaceutics comprises of four semester (50) credit hours (Two Years).

Pharmacy operates in a continuing growing scientific and cultural area and it represents the main interface between Chemical and Bio-medical Sciences.
It is the only institutional seat in the Lazio region providing a staff with a highly scientific and professional training on Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry applied to Drug study and design.
It offers numerous degree courses, such as: Pharmacy, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies, Scientific Information on Drugs, Biotechnologies, Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies, Science and Technologies of Herbal Products and Environmental Toxicology.
The strengthened didactic, scientific and professional relations of the Faculty with the medical-health facilities in the territory, the Hospitals, the pharmacies, the Ministry of Health, the main public and private research centres and the pharmaceutical industries, allow most of the graduates at the faculty of Pharmacy to rapidly find a wide range of employment opportunities.
Graduate training consists of a sequence of required core courses, elective courses, journal clubs, faculty-directed research rotations, and an original research project leading to a final thesis or dissertation. Students may select to specialize in clinical or basic research in any of three primary training tracks. A minimum of 72 credits must be acquired for the PhD degree. All courses are completed during the first two years of training.
