The creation of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences University of San Francisco was authorized in November 1985 and recognized in August 1989. Over time, adjusting to the new guidelines, the curriculum was changed and, since 2005, is in effect the latest version. Integrated epidemiological reality and the professional, the essential content of that new grade curriculum of the course are related to health-disease process of the citizen, family and community. The list of available subjects and are the same in both shift and address the areas of knowledge, skills, attitudes and ethical values, observing the balance theoretical and practical (technicist disengaged from the archaic vision of the profession) and trying to approach the issues involved prior to professional activities in an integrated manner.
Once in place, you are trained for the exercise of activities related to drugs, medications, clinical and toxicological analysis and control, production and analysis of food, based on ethical principles and understanding of social reality, cultural and economic environment of their , directing their work to the transformation of reality to the benefit of society. Therefore, be ready to plan, develop, produce and control the quality of medicines officinal, magistral, homeopathic and pharmaceutical products.
This training is made possible by a faculty consisting of professors basically pharmacists with professional experience, both in academia (research, teaching and extension), industry, laboratory and toxicological tests or clinical pharmacy and drugstore

The symposium aims to deepen technical professionals in the area of health in matters of high relevance in the present in which a scope does not hit the graduate. It improves the basis for guiding the rational use of medicines, as well as to ensure effective therapy and minimize the risks to the patient.
All the interrelated areas of knowledge to assess critical, humanistic and ethical aspects of society in their biological, sociological and psychological, working with the community to critical social function, participate and act as a health professional within the scope of work; assist pharmaceutical the entire population, promoting and monitoring health and farmavigilância part of national health and medicines.

Objectives:
Define the concepts and responsibilities of the professional pharmacist and what skills should be practiced for a focused approach to the patient. Lead the student to understand the practice of pharmaceutical care through the development of clinical and humanistic thinking in order to help change the professional practice of pharmacists from realizing their social responsibility to the users of medicines and improving health outcomes in society. Stimulate reflection increasing the shares to the care of patients and enhancement of treatments for disease control.
