Pharmacy Undergraduate at Saint Vincent College

Through a special agreement signed in 1997, Saint Vincent College and Duquesne University offer advanced degree programs for students beginning studies as freshmen at Saint Vincent.

The agreement provides opportunities for Saint Vincent students to enroll in cooperative programs leading to graduate degrees in the health sciences. This enables students to pursue an undergraduate liberal arts education in preparation for graduate studies in a professional field. The career opportunities of such a combination are extensive and so these programs represent an excellent investment for students and their families. Saint Vincent and Duquesne are proud to be working together to provide exciting educational options that are cost-saving and time-saving.

These programs include:
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Master of Physician Assistant
Master of Occupational Therapy
Doctor of Pharmacy

The Master’s Degree programs are five-year cooperative programs (two at Saint Vincent and three at Duquesne) and lead to a professional graduate degree from Duquesne. The DPT and D. Pharm. Degrees are six-year cooperative programs (two at Saint Vincent and four at Duquesne).

The most attractive feature of all of these programs is that students can begin their freshman year with a clear path to their graduate degree. While each of the programs has admission requirements and each requires a specified level of achievement, students have the opportunity to begin their college career at Saint Vincent, which features small class sizes and personal instruction. They then transfer to a world class Graduate Program at Duquesne University where they complete their academic training.
